As a property and regeneration business, our suppliers are critical in the delivery of both long-term transformational projects, and excellent continuing customer service.
Our suppliers are also vital to the way we operate and the impact we have on the environment and society.
Our philosophy is to develop and maintain long-term, mutually beneficial, and trusted partnerships with our supply chain, ensuring values and cultures are complementary to our own.
Supplier onboarding
The Peel onboarding process is owned and managed by our Procurement Team and forms a key part of our Procurement Policy.
The process starts with potential suppliers being proposed by an employee of Peel, and suppliers will not be surprised to know that there are a few forms to complete and information to be provided. Areas of interest to us include:
Sustainability and Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG)
Financial due diligence
Quality assurance
Agreement to our business Terms & Conditions
As appropriate, we will also require suppliers to successfully complete our standards-based Information Security Assessment and GDPR questionnaire.
Suppliers are reminded that any work undertaken prior to completion of the above process will be at the supplier’s risk and may result in payment being withheld.
Performance management
Performance of the supply chain against the defined policies is assessed through supplier surveys, which potential new suppliers will be asked to complete as part of the engagement process and periodically as an active supplier.
